DIY Art & Craft: Why Making Things by Hand Just Feels Right
There’s is certain kind of choice in sitting down with pair of scissors, some glow and no real plan, Just an idea or maybe just a mood. That’s how most of my DIY Craft project begin. Nothing fancy, no Pinterest board, just me and whatever I can find lying around the house.
I never thought I was a crafty person. I didn’t grow up in any artsy home, We didn’t have a drawer full of Washi tape for fancy paints, But somewhere along the way, during rainy weekend or one of those evenings. Where you just want to do something with your hands. I started making Little things and you know what? It felt surprisingly good.
DIY, art and craft isn’t about skill or perfection. It’s about doing. About letting your hands, take the lead while your brain takes break.
It’s not just for creative people.
Here’s the truth. You don’t need to be artistic to enjoy making art. So many people think if they can’t paint the perfect picture or tries to play, They are not creative. That’s nonsense.Creativity isn’t about being perfect. It’s about taking in an idea and make it real even if it ends up looking a bit strange or different than you imagined. One of the greatest thing about DIY crafts is that there is no rules.
Making something out of nothing
There is something really satisfying about taking junk and turning into something useful or beautiful. Old glass jars, clean them or wrap some twine around them pop in a candle. Great now you got a cozy lantern.
Torn jeans, Cut them up and turn them into a little fabric trace or patchwork packs . I look around my room and I realise only things I have made myself a pot even when I couldn’t sleep on one night, This one is like a little time capsule.
